Robert is known for his consummate skills as a master woodworking craftsman, but his background has touched upon several diverse disciplines...
Robert was born in London, England. He graduated from the University of London with a degree in Biology and while his parents pictured him as a doctor like his grandfather -- his path was ultimately diverted when he discovered music.
He was brought to the U.S. as a singer-songwriter by Virgin records, and had a hit single called, "You Don't Know" as part of the duo Scarlett & Black. When he left the music business back in the nineties, he found that he had a natural ability to create beautiful things out of wood. With talent and hard work, he quickly became a much in-demand fine wood craftsman, another outlet to channel his creative side. "I'd much rather make the desk than be the guy behind it, quips Robert.
Robert's versatility and experience with vastly different interior design styles is why top designers and architects throughout Los Angeles turn to Robert, particularly when it's an imaginative project--whether it is to customize a 1910 craftsman style home or create a funky retro 1960's showplace. His ability to design his own projects or make a designer, or homeowner's vision come to life truly excites clients as they see their dream kitchen or one-of-a-kind bed materialize.
Robert's client list range from the modest homeowner -- to having his work featured in many celebrity homes that have been spotlighted in magazines and TV shows.
Robert's latest work is featured in Architectural Digest (May, 2012)
